Architects use plastic bottles to design ocean wave façade system
Stockholm-based architecture practice Ulf Mejergren Architects (UMA) has used thousands of recycled plastic bottles to create a façade system for an art school in Tulum, Mexico. UMA's design addresses an environmental issue appearing in many parts of the world. Addressing Mexico's half a million tonnes of plastic waste that ends up in the ocean each year, the architects used this waste to create a visual showcase of the environment problem.
