Potential opportunity for women lies in artisan skills shortage

In South Africa, women are 9% more likely to be unemployed than their male counterparts. Yet, there are still roles and skills for which employers struggle to hire. South African employers cite skilled trades as one of the hardest roles to fill in the Manpower Group's 2018 Talent Shortage Survey and several types of artisans are included in the 2020 List of Occupations in High Demand.
