Founded in 2007, Laboratory for Visionary Architecture (LAVA) uses technology and patterns found in nature to build smarter, friendlier and more socially responsible architecture. They recently revealed a design that incorporates the natural flow and sustainability of a rain forest into the functionality of a modern city. Forest City is the second place winner of a future cities design competition, proving that we're moving closer to alternative, eco-friendly ways of living.
